Here in our Lady of Lourdes we are taking part in the One Good Idea competition to raise awareness about energy usage in our school. We have been running a competition in our school to save energy and the best class will get a prize. We are checking to see that they are switching off lights, projectors and computers. We are also checking that they are using their blinds correctly and that their thermostats are set to an efficient temperature. It has been great fun and we will announce the winner of the competition here soon.

We had an assembly today to celebrate good attendance in our school. There was a huge amount of children who received certificates for good attendance. They were all entered into a draw for a prize. We also celebrated some students who brought in trophies that they have won. Well done to everyone involved.

We had a celebration in our school on Wednesday for all the grandparents of the children in the school. They came to the school hall and watched each class do a short performance. There was tea and coffee for all the grandparents and parents and everyone enjoyed the celebration. The children's performances were outstanding. There was poems, songs, tin whistle and drama from children of all ages. Well done to all the performers!!
